Autumn is a chaos bringer, assigned as the envoy to the main planetary colony. Summer is the tactical leader under the colony’s overseer, Luminary; they were never meant to interact, as their roles exist at cross purposes.
Their predetermined fates begin to unravel when Autumn comes across a sketchbook left behind and, on a whim, writes a note to its creator. Initially not realizing to whom they are writing, they continue to correspond and eventually discover common ground.
Without knowing the other’s identity, their relationship deepens and war breaks out between their factions just as they realize they are on opposing sides. As Luminary launches a planetary war, they are plunged into a race for their survival and that of their colonies; the strength of their relationship is put to the test against the loyalties they were raised to keep.

As wyrms and sea dwellers take sides in the brewing conflict, Salo may be hard-pressed to escape with his life…never mind safeguard the House that sired him.

With the civil war between Yappari Houses spilling over into dry land and the vast expanse and various peoples of the Reach, the newly crowned Matron Sanhadrin and her cousin Salo have to find a way to cement her power and alliances… potentially at the cost of those few she truly treasures.
